Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of CortexWP AI, a connected WordPress engineering assistant operated under the name CortexWP AI. By creating an account, connecting a site, purchasing a plan, or using the service, you agree to these terms.
What CortexWP AI does
CortexWP AI helps users investigate, explain, and perform approved work on WordPress sites. Depending on the connection method and permissions you provide, the service may inspect site metadata, WordPress configuration, files, logs, plugin and theme state, DNS-related information, chat messages, pasted content, and tool outputs needed to provide the service.
Your responsibility for connected sites
You may only connect websites, servers, WordPress installations, accounts, domains, and systems that you own, administer, or are authorized to manage. You are responsible for the credentials, connector access, site data, instructions, and approvals you provide.
Approvals and site changes
CortexWP AI is designed to request approval before taking material actions such as commands, file changes, configuration changes, plugin or theme operations, database-related work, or other production-impacting tasks. You should review proposed actions, expected impact, and rollback notes before approving. You remain responsible for deciding whether an action should be performed on your site.
Accounts and billing
Plans are subscription-based and provide monthly usage credits for connected-site work. You agree to provide accurate billing and account information and to keep payment details current. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. All purchases and subscriptions are final and non-refundable except where required by law.
Token credits and usage
Usage credits may be consumed by chat, reasoning, connected-site inspection, file reads, log review, tool calls, command preparation, code or configuration work, verification, and response generation. Token credits do not represent guaranteed outcomes, fixed quantities of completed tasks, or emergency response commitments.
Acceptable use
You may not use CortexWP AI to access systems without authorization, bypass security controls, distribute malware, steal credentials, attack third-party systems, hide unlawful activity, violate intellectual property rights, or perform activity that is illegal, abusive, harmful, or deceptive.
Customer content and data deletion
You retain your rights in the content and data you provide. You grant CortexWP AI permission to process that content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. You may request deletion of customer data associated with your account by contacting support@cortexwp.ai, subject to reasonable retention needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backups, billing records, and legitimate business records.
AI outputs
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your specific environment. You should review outputs, proposed actions, and code before relying on them. CortexWP AI is a tool to assist your WordPress operations; it does not replace your responsibility for production decisions, backups, testing, compliance, or professional judgment.
Availability and third-party systems
The service may depend on hosting providers, domain providers, payment processors, AI services, authentication systems, WordPress environments, internet connectivity, and other third-party infrastructure. We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or incident-free availability.
No warranties
CortexWP AI is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uptime, accuracy, and error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CortexWP AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, site downtime, business interruption, security incidents, or restoration costs. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold CortexWP AI harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your connected sites, your instructions or approvals, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of CortexWP AI after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Ontario, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
