Overview
CortexWP connects directly to your WordPress site to inspect, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform ttasks. In some cases, your hosting provider, server firewall, Cloudflare, or a WordPress security plugin may block or limit requests coming from CortexWP. This can cause connection errors, failed checks, interrupted backups, or other CortexWP features to stop working correctly.
To avoid this, we recommend adding the CortexWP IP address to your allowlist.
CortexWP IP Address
Please whitelist the following IP address:
40.233.109.6
CortexWP currently uses a single static IP address, so you do not need to whitelist an IP range.
Why does CortexWP need to be whitelisted?
CortexWP needs to communicate with your website for features such as site monitoring and diagnostics, Uptime and SSL monitoring, Security and vulnerability scans, Broken link checking, Error and login monitoring, Full-site backups and restores, managed safe automatic updates, Visual regression testing, WordPress troubleshooting, and site operations
If your server or firewall blocks the CortexWP IP, some of these tasks may fail or time out.
Where should I whitelist the IP?
Depending on your setup, you may need to add our IP Address to one or more places: your hosting provider’s firewall, Cloudflare or another WAF, your server firewall, or a WordPress security plugin such as Wordfence
Look for settings named Allowlist, Whitelist, Trusted IPs, or IP Access Rules.
Still having connection issues?
If you’ve already whitelisted our CortexWP IP but CortexWP is still unable to connect, another security layer may still be blocking the request. For example, your hosting firewall may allow our IP while Cloudflare or a WordPress security plugin is still challenging or blocking it.
If you are still facing issues, contact CortexWP support, and we’ll help you figure out what’s blocking the connection.
